2 Day Acting For Animators Course
Although these lessons have been created with animators in mind they can be taught to anyone wishing to improve their acting skills, from a total beginner to those with experience in the acting profession.
Emphasis is given to thought played out through physical action and how subtle poses and gestures convey the intended emotions and feelings to the viewing audience.
Serbian-born British actress, Zelda Tinska, initially trained as a classical ballet dancer. She left Serbia at the age of 17 to study ballet and dance in renowed school Ecole Superieure de Danse de Cannes – Rosella Hightower, followed by a move to London where she went on to complete her studies in the college for performing arts, London Studio Centre.
Zelda’s first acting audition was in year 2000 for Danny Boyle’s 20th Century Feature film The Beach
, starring Leonardo DiCaprio, where she played the role of Sonja, famously teaching Leo to speak Serbian. That role opened the doors to the acting world and Zelda started working on TV and Theatre in the UK, appearing in various established British TV series and dramas, most notably the Multi-Award winning, Auf Wiedesehen Pet
, as well as Waking The Dead
, Coronation Street
, Holby City
and many more, working alongside top British actors including Daniel Craig (in The Mother
), Tomothy Spall ,Jimmy Nail and Kevin Whatley (in Auf wiedersehen Pet
), Dominic Mafham and Alice Evans(in a film Hard Labour
), Richard Madden (in Sirens
) and many more.
Zelda also appeared in a Tamasha Theatre Company sell out play Balti Kings
, that opened at Lyric Hammersmith and Edinborough Festival and went on a six month UK tour. She played a female lead role of Mariam, and won exellent reviews.
When she is not acting, Zelda works in the VFX and Animation Film industy, firstly as an Assistant Editor and for the past two and half years as Animation Production Coordinator on feature films such as John Carter
and Snow White
and The Huntsman
. Through meeting and working with animators, she decided to start teaching Acting and Movement for Animators, where she can combine all her skills. £245.00GBP for the 2 Day Course (A stay overnight Bed and Breakfast would be another @£80.00 ex vat per person.).

Introduction to Stanislavski ; what drives the action, subtext, script analysis, character development etc.
Movement analysis – what are we actually observing when someone walks, sits, etc.
The relationship between voice and movement.
Use of efforts in gestures/movements – exploring physically the various efforts of; space, weight, time and flow.
Facial expressions & mouth movements.
Expression of emotions.
Lots of acting games/exercises to aid storytelling.
Creating a believable/truthful character performance.
Creature/Animal movement analysis/characterisation .
Script work – how to make a character alive and believable from page to performance.
Various scripts to work from, and prepare. ( everyone can bring their own scripts if they want).
